Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) outplayed Delhi Capitals (DC) by a comfortable margin of 50 runs in their third match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season on Saturday, April 01.
LSG posted a formidable total of 193/6 in their 20 overs, with Quinton de Kock scoring a blistering 80 off 52 balls. Deepak Hooda also chipped in with a valuable 26, while Marcus Stoinis added 18. Khaleel Ahmed was the pick of the DC bowlers, claiming three wickets for 42 runs.
In response, DC were bundled out for just 143 in 19.4 overs. Mitchell Marsh top-scored for DC with 34, while David Warner contributed 28. Avesh Khan starred for LSG with brilliant figures of 3/30. Mohsin Khan and Ravi Bishnoi also picked up two wickets each.
With this victory, LSG moved to the top of the IPL standings, while DC dropped to fifth place. The tournament continues with a match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings on Sunday, April 02.
