Angel Reese's Parents: A Family of Basketball Stars

Meet the Parents of the Phenom

Angel Reese, the highly touted basketball player for the University of Maryland, comes from a family with deep roots in the sport. Her father, Michael Reese, played basketball at Boston College and Loyola University. Her mother, Angel Webb, also played college basketball and is the younger sister of former NBA player Gary Webb. Angel's paternal grandmother, Sandra Reese, was a basketball standout at Immaculata University and her paternal grandfather, Michael Reese Sr., was a two-time All-American at St. John's University.

A Legacy of Success

Angel's parents met while playing basketball at Loyola University. They welcomed their first child, Angel, on May 6, 2002, and her brother, Julian, a year later on June 6, 2003. Angel quickly followed in her parents' footsteps, showing a natural talent for basketball at a young age. She attended Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, Virginia, where she was a three-time All-State selection and led her team to a state championship as a senior. Angel was recruited by some of the top college programs in the country and ultimately chose to play for the University of Maryland.

Angel's parents have been incredibly supportive of her basketball career. They have traveled to countless games and tournaments, providing guidance and encouragement along the way. Angel credits her parents for instilling in her the values of hard work, determination, and perseverance. She is proud of her family's basketball legacy and is determined to add to it by making her own mark on the sport.
