New Delhi, India – Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is set to make her directorial debut with 'Emergency', a biographical political drama based on the controversial period of India's history, the 1975 Emergency.
The film stars a stellar cast, including Anupam Kher, Manisha Koirala, and Satish Kaushik. Ranaut herself will portray the iron-fisted Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who imposed a state of emergency that suspended civil liberties and led to widespread human rights violations.
