Death toll rises to four

A series of 22 tornadoes ripped through Georgia on Monday, killing at least four people and injuring dozens more. The storms caused widespread damage, leaving more than 10,000 people without power.

The tornadoes were part of a larger storm system that moved through the South on Monday. The storms spawned tornadoes in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

In Georgia, the tornadoes touched down in several counties, including Butts, Carroll, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Heard, Lamar, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding, and Troup. The storms caused extensive damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure.

The death toll from the storms is expected to rise as search and rescue teams continue to work through the debris.
